- Control Film Thickness: Avoid excessive single-pass thickness to prevent solvents from being “choked” inside, which causes bumpy eruptions.
3. The Coating Shop “Self-Checklist”
- Gun Hygiene: Is the spray gun thoroughly cleaned after every use? Dried paint flakes inside the gun are a major source of particles.
- Substrate Cleanliness: Has the workpiece surface been completely dusted and degreased before entering the booth?
- Intake Filtration: Are the air filters in your spray booth replaced on a regular schedule?
